2009 Playoff Picks: Second Round

Boston vs Carolina
After quickly dispatching Montreal, the Bruins have been resting while the Canes were busy playing an epic seven game series. Will the still fresh adrenaline from a last minute series win carry the Canes past a possibly now cold Bruins? I think so.
Hurricanes in 7

Washington vs Pittsburgh
The Caps got off to really slow start in the last series but eventually won in seven games. The Pens offense is significantly better than the Rangers though. This is the only match up where neither contestant previously had a sweep. Ironically, I predict this to be over the fastest.
Penguins in 5

Detroit vs Anaheim
Like the Bruins, the Red Wings have been sitting awhile. The Ducks just upset the NHL's best regular season team. Will I call it the same way as Bruins/Canes? Yes, yes I will.
Ducks in 7

Vancouver vs Chicago
Difficult for me to call. Wait, haven't we seen a Luongo vs Khabibulin match up before? If we have, it would have been the Eastern Conference but I don't remember it. But I remember that Nikolai had success in the East, so this time I'll go with Roberto in the West.
Canucks in 6

Now before you go to Vegas with these picks, you may want take a gander at my first round picks:
